I’m a saxophonist, clarinetist, flutist, composer, and arranger in Austin, TX.  I also customize/repair/refurbish saxophone and clarinet mouthpieces. Check out my original big-band and small-band recordings on Bandcamp.

I do regular gigs with The Copa Kings and The Austin Symphony, musical theater gigs (often at the fantastic ZACH Theater), and a lot of freelancing. In 2026 I played on, arranged, and directed a Ray Benson big-band album that should be out in early 2027. Keep an eye out for a record release show!  The rest of the time I’m composing, arranging, teaching, and working on mouthpieces.  I’ve adapted a few of my original big-band charts for school-level bands – these versions (and lots of other great charts) are available from Baker’s Jazz And More.

I’m pretty busy teaching woodwinds, brass, and jazz improvisation – mostly at the Austin School of Music, formerly at St. Stephen’s Episcopal School and St. Edward’s University.
